The company was founded in 1948 by Rendel and Jean Wyatt. It was passed onto his son David and his wife Mino during the mid 1950's. Since the mid 1980's their son Peter has been at the helm and with the help of his wife Karen, their two children and his mother, look forward to the next 50 years.
With the help of their staff the family will continue to turn plans for the fleet into reality, maintaining a modern, well furnished fleet of narrow boats, whilst still continuing to offer the benefit of their experience to novices and experienced hirers alike, many being from overseas.
The picturesque boatyard is based at Stone, a small canal and market town easily accessible by road or rail and at the centre of the canal network. A wide range of cruising options are available and a one or two week circular route will take you through varied countryside with a wide range of architectural styles.
Call in at the Wedgewood factory or Shugborough Hall; the family seat of the Earl of Lichfield. Travel through Harecastle Tunnel (not for the squeamish!) or stop off at Stoke Station and catch the bus tour through the Pottery Factories. You can also cruise the idyllic Caldon Canal. .
